Gambardella on 16 Apr 1966 at Queens County, New York.1 Marilyn Waldron died on 10 Mar 2013 at Rutland, Rutland County, Vermont, at age 84.2

     RUTLAND TOWN - Marilyn Gambardella, 84, of Rutland Town, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 17, 1928, in Jamaica, N.Y., the daughter of Benjamin and Florence (Tricker) Waldron.

She was a 1945 graduate of FK Lane High School in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Mrs. Gambardella was a legal secretary.

She was a resident of Garden City, N.Y., moving to Rutland in 2001.

Surviving are daughters, Susan Cassarino and husband Jeff of Rutland, Lisa Goldblatt and husband Nick of Smyrna, Ga; four grandchildren, Andrew Cassarino and Kyle Cassarino, both of Rutland, Brian Goldblatt and Jason Goldblatt, both of Smyrna, Ga.

She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Gambardella, in 2001; two brothers, Howard Waldron and William Waldron; four sisters, Elizabeth Becker, Dorothy Misiano, Viola Waldron and Bertha Waldron.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in the Clifford Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. James Dodson, assistant pastor of Christ the King Church.

Friends may call at the Clifford Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mount St. Joseph Academy Development Fund, 127 Convent Ave., Rutland, VT 05701.3 She was buried at Calvary Cemetery, Rutland, Rutland County, Vermont.4,2
     She resided with Benjamin Franklin Waldron and Florence Annie Tricker at 989 Seneca Avenue, Ridgewood, Queens County, New York, in 1930.5 Marilyn Waldron lived with Benjamin Franklin Waldron and Florence Annie Tricker bt 1935 - 1940 at Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.6 Marilyn is a housewife and mother, and was a secretary for 22 years.1 Marilyn Waldron lived at Garden City, Nassau County, New York, in 2001.1

     Thomas Heslep Hope was born on 10 Jan 1796.1,2,3 He was the son of Thomas Hope Esq. and Mary Heslep. He married Sarah Scott, daughter of David Scott and Amy Humphrey, on 1 Aug 1823.3,1,4 Thomas Heslep Hope died on 28 May 1855 at age 59.2,3,1,5
     He was a grandson of Robert Hope, brother of Jennet Hope Parke. He resided in Chillicothe, Ohio.4 He and Sarah Scott lived at Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio.6

     Joseph Cowan was born on 24 Feb 1729 at Sadsbury Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.1,2,3 He was the son of Hugh Cowan and Ann Matthias.4 He married Mary Scott, daughter of John Scott Sr. and Elizabeth Glover, on 14 May 1752 at Valley Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.5,4,6,3 Joseph Cowan died on 29 May 1777 at Valley Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, at age 48.7,8,9,10,11
     In James Cowan's will on 29 Sep 1751 Joseph was named as an heir.12,13 In John Scott Sr.'s will, Joseph was named by John to handle his estate on 14 Feb 1777 at Sadsbury Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.14,6 He made a will on 26 Feb 1777 at Sadsbury Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The will provides:
"Cowan, Joseph, Sadsbury.
Will dated Feb. 26, 1777; proved Mar. 8, 1777.
To wife 1/3 of personal estate and profits of the whole until son James is 21. To son James £50 at 21. Remainder of personal estate to 6 daughters, viz., Jean wife of Geo. Richman, Ann wife of John Semple, Mary, Elizabeth, Margaret and Sarah. To son James all real estate at 21.
Executors: Wife Mary and son-in-law Geo. Richmond.
Wit: Nathl. W. Semple, Charles Kinkead.".15

Hugh Cowan

     Hugh Cowan was born a 1700 at County Down, Ireland.1,2 He was the son of (?) Cowan. He married Ann Matthias on 20 Jan 1723.3 He married Mary Scott b 1741.4 Hugh Cowan died in early 1781.5
     Hugh immigrated to Pennsylvania a 1720.2 He built his home in Sadsbury Township, Chester Co., PA. He was an Elder of the Octoraro Presbyterian Church.6,7 He sold property to James Cowan on 7 Nov 1748 at Sadsbury Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The deed identified James as Hugh Cowan's oldest son:

"THIS INDENTURE made the 7th day of November in the year of our Lord 1748 between Hugh Cowan of Sadsbury Township in the County of Chester Yeoman of the one part and james Cowan of the same place, Wheelwright, the eldest son and Heir at law of him the said Hugh Cowan of the other part". [Chester County, PA Deed Book R, p. 513.].8 In James Cowan's will on 29 Sep 1751 Hugh was named as an heir.9,10 He made a will on 20 Jul 1776 at Sadsbury Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The will provided as follows:

"Cowan, Hugh. Sadsbury.
Will dated July 20, 1776. Probated 17 Jan 1782 4.
Son Matthias to be exempted from payment of a bond of £15. To son Davis £20. Remaining 1/3 to wife Mary and 2/3 to 2 daughters Ann and Hannah. Executors: Sons-in-law Robert Cowan and David Park. Witnesses: Charles Kinkead, Joseph Cowan. Annotation - Inventory: Jan. 15, 1782 by Arthur Park and Joseph Park, £146:5. Accounts show £640.1.9. Widow received £61:0:6, Ann £53:7:2, Hannah £46:12:9.".11,12

     Robert Witherow was born on 13 Apr 1766.1 He married Jennet Scott, daughter of Thomas Scott and Sarah Hope.2,3,1 Robert Witherow died on 31 Dec 1827 at age 61.1
