     John was employed as a cooper at Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts.3,9 John Cole was a member from Lynn of the "Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company", which had been formed in 1638 for the defense of the region.10 Upon John's death, his estate was administered on 1 Dec 1703 at Essex County, Massachusetts.11

Sarah Aslebe1

     Sarah Aslebe was born on 14 Aug 1662 at Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts.2,3 She was the daughter of John Aslett and Rebecca Ayer.4,3 She married John Cole a 1686.5,6 Sarah Aslebe died on 1 Jan 1740/41 at Bradford, Essex County, Massachusetts, at age 78.7,8,9
     Sarah Aslebe was also known as Sarah Alsbee.8 Sarah Aslebe was also known as Sarah Aslett.3 As of a 1675,her married name was Cole. Sarah gave a deposition in Essex County court in 1683.10 On October 1, 1692 widow Mary Brown of Reading filed a complaint against Sarah, claiming that Sarah had caused spectral sights and sounds that frightened her. She was arrested on October 3rd and examined before the Salem justices. She was held for tormenting Mary Brown and sent to Cambridge jail.11 Sarah Cole, the wife of John Cole, was tried at Charlestown, 1 February, 1693, and acquitted.12,13 Sarah was released from Cambridge jail on March 23, 1693.14 She lived in Boxford, Essex County, Massachusetts, in 1728.15 Upon Sarah's death, her estate was administered on 25 May 1741 at Bradford, Essex County, Massachusetts.16

He was baptized on 11 Feb 1810 at St. Thomas by Launceston, Cornwall.5 He married Charlotte Netherton, daughter of John Netherton and Jane (?), on 1 Jan 1842 at St. Stephens by Launceston, Cornwall, England.6 Richard Horwell Pearse died b 16 Sep 1866 at Launceston, Cornwall, England.7,8,4 He was interred on 16 Sep 1866 at St. Stephens by Launceston, Cornwall.4
     Richard Horwell Pearse was also known as Richard Pearce. He lived at St Stephens by Launceston, Cornwall, England, in 1841. He worked as an agricultural laborer. Also in the same household was a servant: Charlotte Netherne, age 20, whom he married a yer later.9 He lived at Yeolmbridge, Cornwall, England, in 1842.6 He and Charlotte Netherton lived at 63 Trucsott, St Stephens by Launceston, Cornwall, England, in 1851.10 He was a laborer, according to his son Joseph's marriage certificate. The 1851 census and the 1858 birth record for son Joseph gives his occupation as Farm Laborer, and the 1861 census lists his occupation as "Ag Lab".10 Richard Horwell Pearse and Charlotte Netherton lived at Walter's Menhenniot, St Stephens by Launceston, Cornwall, England, fr 1858 - 1861.3,11
