     Robert Pitcaithly was born a 1780 at Scotland.1 He married Jeanette Jones b 1825.1 Robert Pitcaithly died on 27 Apr 1854 at New York City, New York County, New York.2 He was buried on 31 May 1864 at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, Lot 9117, Section 104. His remains were originally interred April 30, 1854 at Greenwood Cemetery in grave 33 lot 1590. On May 31, 1864 his remains were moved to lot 9117 section 104 of the same cemetery. This lot was owned by the families of his daughters Helen Losee and Sarah Webber..3,4
     He was naturalized on 27 Apr 1807 at New York City, New York County, New York.5 He began military service in 1812 as a private in the 2nd Regiment (Van Hooks), NewYork Militia.6 He lived at New York City, New York, working as a stonecutter in 1820.7 He resided with John N.
