Lillie is listed in the 1875 census (born ca. 1872) as the daughter of Joseph; and in the 1880 census (born ca. 1872) as the daughter of his father, Charles. Joseph married his second wife in March of 1880. I therefore believe that Lillie was the daughter of Joseph, and went to live with her grandparents prior to the 1880 census. Her death record does not indicate her parents. Lillie and Sarah, Joseph D. Waldron and Mary Sophia Melton's children, resided with Joseph and Mary at 196 Gold Street, Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, in 1875. He worked as a cartman.6 Lillie Waldron resided with Charles A.
