     Geesie Jans was born a 1630 at Norden, Ostfriesland, Germany.2 She was the daughter of Jan Doets.2 Geesie Jans married Pieter Carstensen.2 Geesie Jans married Arent Teunissen Pier, son of Teunis Jansz Pier and Jannetje Arents, on 31 Oct 1660 at Amsterdam, Netherlands.2,3 Geesie Jans died a 1703 at Kingston, Ulster County, New York.2
     Her married name was Carstensen. Her married name was Pier. She immigrated in 1661 to New Amsterdam, New Netherland.4 She and Arent Teunissen Pier emigrated on 9 May 1661 from Amsterdam on the ship "St. John the Baptist", which sailed from Amsterdam after 9 May 9 1661 and arrived in New Amsterdam 6 August 1661.      William Traphagen married Gepje Arentz Pier, daughter of Arent Teunissen Pier and Geesie Jans, on 30 Apr 1699 at the Old Dutch Church of Kingston, Kingston, Ulster County, New York. After Henderick died.2,3
     He was the widower of Tryntje Peele.2 They eventually moved across the river to Rhinebeck. William built (1700) the original house/tavern where the Beekman Arms is today (touted as the oldest inn in America).1

     Rev. Timothy Hill was born on 30 Jun 1819 at Mason, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.3,2,1 He was the son of Rev. Ebenezer Hill and Abigail Jones.1 He married Frances Augusta Hall on 2 Nov 1854 at St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri.2,4 Rev. Timothy Hill died on 21 May 1887 at Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, at age 67.2
     According to the History of Mason, NH, by John B. Hill, Rev. Timothy Hill was born 30 June 1819, graduated Dartmouth Coll. in 1842, and Union Theological Seminary in New York City in 1845. He preached for several years in Missouri, and then was pastor of a Presbyterian church in St. Louis, Missouri (as of 1858).3
